New Gmail Player

·134 words·1 min

Google’s Gmail just made one nice update. Now it has an MP3 player built-in. So now when you receive an .mp3 file in your email, you can listen to it before downloading. This is very useful for those who send/receive a lot of MP3s.

Another Cool Observation:

You can use the player to play any MP3 on the internet, by using the code: https://mail.google.com/mail/html/audio.swf?audioUrl=

Example: https://mail.google.com/mail/html/audio.swf?audioUrl=http://ovelha.org/pasteler0/files/TSMB.mp3

and it will look like this.

TIP:

To find all .mp3 files in your Gmail account, use this search: filename:mp3 This will list all emails with .mp3 attachments.

If you want to use Gmail to host your MP3s, there is a good Firefox plugin to use Gmail as a FileBrowser.
